Why Your Vote Matters

This Bill is an example of why YOUR vote MATTERS! We myst STOP electing Representatives that turn their back on the Constitution and US!

While, understandably so, we have been distracted by COVID-19; gun grabbing legislators have been busy.  Last month the Democratic-majority U.S. House of Representatives passed bill, H.R. 6395, with a 295 to 125 vote.

Sadly, several of the 295 votes (108 of them) to strip those subject to UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) of their Rights related to firearms, were  Republicans. Who is subject to UCMJ? Active military, military retirees, active and inactive reserve and disabled veterans receiving funds from Uncle Sam. (Research is needed to see if receiving VA Health benefits could be construed as receiving funds from Uncle Sam, I wouldn’t put ANYTHING past gun grabbers).   This Bill would insure that ANYONE could make a report calling themselves a “friend,” and a current of past service member would have their 2A right stripped from them without due process, representation or even being aware it was occurring. Why would you strip the rights of those most highly trained in firearm safety and their use? If you look at the INTENT of the 2A, preserving the ability for the PEOPLE to be able to protect themselves From a tyrannical government, it makes you wonder doesn’t it?

Why did Republicans, who campaign on promises of upholding the Constitution and took an oath to do the same, turn their back on all of us? Good question. Tennessee’s three won’t return calls to the press to answer that question.

Of course, the usual EXCUSE of the Bill being too long to read. We call malarkey on that excuse  if you DIDN’T read it, why are you VOTING??? Frankly, a bill longer than 100 pages (Bills SHOULD be broken down to no more than 10 pages. They should ONLY address the TOPIC at hand. If it requires more than 10 pages, it needs to be broken down into different actions), should be a HUGE RED FLAG. It means that more than one person has slipped PORK or other item into the Bill. Every Bill should be tabled until each and ever member READS it. Perhaps if this were to start happening, Bills would quickly decrease in page numbers.
